Seattle's behavioral health landscape
Seattle is a city with abundant healthcare resources relative to most of Washington State — and yet the behavioral health gap is real even here. King County has documented a shortage of psychiatric providers accepting new patients with commercial insurance, and the wait times for a new psychiatry appointment can stretch to months. For addiction medicine, the landscape is similarly stretched — particularly for patients with commercial insurance who want a provider focused on evidence-based medication treatment rather than a program-based model.
Rezolv Health fills a specific gap in Seattle's treatment ecosystem: physician-led, telehealth-delivered care for patients who want fast access, evidence-based medication, and a clinical relationship — not a program.

Insurance in Seattle
We accept all insurance, including commercial plans, Washington Apple Health (Medicaid), Medicare, and TRICARE. Commercial coverage includes employer-sponsored plans — Premera, Regence, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, and others — as well as Washington Healthplanfinder marketplace plans. Self-pay is also available for patients who prefer to pay directly.
Insurance participation can change. While we work with most major plans in Washington, we recommend contacting us or calling the member services number on your insurance card to confirm your specific plan is accepted before your first appointment. Frequently asked questions
What insurance does Rezolv Health accept in Seattle? All insurance, including commercial plans, Washington Apple Health (Medicaid), Medicare, and TRICARE. Common commercial carriers include Premera, Regence, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, and others. Call your insurance company to verify your behavioral health benefits before scheduling.
How long does it take to get an appointment in Seattle? Same-week and often next-day appointments are available. We maintain availability specifically for new patients and do not have the multi-month wait times common at many Seattle psychiatric providers.
Can I be seen in person in Seattle? Our in-person location is in University Place, south of Tacoma — not within Seattle city limits. Telehealth is available for all Seattle patients. If in-person care is important to you, University Place is approximately 35 to 40 miles from downtown Seattle.
Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor? It depends on your insurance plan. Some plans require a referral for behavioral health services — we recommend checking with your insurer before your first appointment. Self-pay patients do not need a referral.
Is Rezolv Health appropriate for someone who has been through a residential treatment program? Yes. Many of our patients have prior treatment experience — including residential programs, detox, and other interventions. We provide ongoing medication management for patients at any stage of recovery, including those who need MAT to support long-term stability after completing a higher level of care.
Does Rezolv Health treat mental health conditions separately from addiction, or only together? Either way. Some patients come to us only for addiction treatment. Some come only for mental health medication management. Some have both and we treat them together. You don't need to have a co-occurring condition to access either service.
What's the difference between seeing Rezolv Health and seeing a therapist in Seattle? We're a medication management practice — we prescribe and manage psychiatric and addiction medications. We don't provide therapy or counseling. Many of our patients also see a therapist, which we fully support and can coordinate with. If you're looking for talk therapy, we can help point you in the right direction, but that's a separate service.
I have Premera through my employer — how do I know if my behavioral health visits are covered? Call the member services number on your Premera card and ask specifically about your behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorder) telehealth benefits. Ask about your deductible, copay or coinsurance, and whether out-of-network benefits apply. We can also verify your coverage when you schedule.
What medications does Rezolv Health prescribe for mental health in Seattle? Psychiatric medication management covers a broad range of FDA-approved medications — antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, others), mood stabilizers, ADHD medications, anxiolytics, and medications for PTSD. The specific medication is determined by your physician based on your diagnosis and history. We don't prescribe controlled substances like benzodiazepines for routine anxiety management.
Can I use Rezolv Health for both my Suboxone and my antidepressant? Yes. If you have co-occurring addiction and mental health conditions, we can manage both under one clinical relationship. This is often preferable to having two separate providers who don't communicate with each other.
What if my insurance changes — new job, new plan? Let us know as soon as possible. We'll verify your new coverage before your next appointment so there's no gap in your care. Self-pay is also available if you ever prefer to pay directly.
