Las Vegas's distinctive addiction treatment landscape
Las Vegas presents a unique set of circumstances for addiction medicine. The city's economy — built around hospitality, gaming, and entertainment — employs hundreds of thousands of people in industries with elevated rates of substance use. Shift work, irregular schedules, social pressure around alcohol consumption, and high-stress service roles are all factors that contribute to elevated addiction rates in the Las Vegas workforce.
At the same time, Las Vegas has a large population of Medicaid-eligible residents, a significant uninsured population, and geographic spread across Clark County that makes clinic-based care logistically challenging for many patients.
Telehealth fits Las Vegas particularly well. A hospitality worker on a swing shift does not have clinic hours that align with their schedule. A service industry professional living in Henderson or North Las Vegas may not have easy access to transportation to a clinic on the other side of the metro. A telehealth appointment from a phone, scheduled around a shift, removes both barriers simultaneously.

Nevada Medicaid in Las Vegas
Clark County has the largest concentration of Nevada Medicaid enrollees in the state. Rezolv Health Las Vegas accepts Nevada Medicaid (Centennial Care) for all services — substance use disorder treatment and mental health medication management. Eligible Medicaid enrollees can access physician-led telehealth care with no out-of-pocket cost for covered services.
Insurance participation can change. While we work with most major plans in Nevada, we recommend contacting us or calling the member services number on your insurance card to confirm your specific plan is accepted before your first appointment. We will work with you during the intake process to verify your coverage.
Scheduling around Las Vegas shift work
We recognize that the Las Vegas workforce does not keep standard office hours. We work to maintain appointment availability outside traditional business hours where possible, and our telehealth model — appointments by phone or computer from wherever you are — gives you flexibility that a clinic visit cannot.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an in-person Rezolv Health location in Las Vegas? No. Las Vegas patients are served by telehealth. Our physical Nevada location is in Reno. If you specifically need an in-person visit, Reno is our nearest physical location — though for most patients, telehealth provides everything they need.
Does Rezolv Health serve Henderson, North Las Vegas, and surrounding Clark County communities? Yes. All of Clark County is served by telehealth — Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, and all other incorporated and unincorporated communities in the county.
What if I work nights and need an appointment outside business hours? We do our best to accommodate non-standard hours. When completing your intake, indicate your preferred appointment times and we will work to find availability that fits your schedule.
Can I use Nevada Medicaid for both addiction treatment and mental health medication? Yes. Nevada Medicaid covers both substance use disorder treatment and mental health services. Rezolv Health Las Vegas accepts Medicaid for both service lines.
What if my schedule changes and I need to reschedule frequently? Telehealth appointments are more flexible than in-person appointments. You can reschedule through the patient portal, and we work to accommodate changes with reasonable notice.
Does Rezolv Health accept Nevada Medicaid if I also have a private insurance plan? Yes. We accept Nevada Medicaid (Centennial Care) as well as commercial insurance. If you have dual coverage, let us know when you complete the intake form and we'll coordinate billing appropriately.
How does a Las Vegas resident start treatment? Complete the intake form on our website. We'll review your information and contact you to schedule your first telehealth appointment — typically within a few days. At that appointment, your physician will review your history, answer your questions, and determine the right treatment approach. If medication is appropriate, your prescription is sent to any Las Vegas pharmacy you choose.
What medications are used for alcohol use disorder? The most commonly prescribed medication is naltrexone, which reduces alcohol cravings and the reward effect of drinking. It's available as a daily oral pill or as Vivitrol, a monthly injection. Vivitrol requires an in-person administration, which we can coordinate at our Reno location or with a provider in Las Vegas. Acamprosate is another option for some patients. Your physician will determine what's most appropriate for your situation.
Can Rezolv Health treat kratom dependence in Las Vegas? Yes. Kratom can cause physical dependence, and buprenorphine is used in appropriate cases to manage withdrawal and cravings. If you're concerned about kratom use, complete the intake form and describe your situation — your physician will assess whether medication-assisted treatment applies.
Is telehealth as effective as going to an in-person clinic? Research on telehealth-delivered addiction medicine and psychiatric medication management consistently shows outcomes equivalent to in-person care. For Las Vegas patients — where telehealth also removes schedule barriers, transportation challenges, and clinic wait times — it's often the more practical option without any clinical compromise.
